The Scientific Board

The Board of Directors set up a Scientific Board, whose nine members are French or foreign scientific experts qualified in the Foundation’s research areas and appointed by the Board of Directors for a renewable period of two years.

The Board of Directors appoints the Chairman of the Scientific Board, for a renewable term of office of two years.

The Scientific Board assists the Board of Directors in the implementation of the Foundation’s major research programs.

It has the following missions:

to deliberate on the Foundation’s broad directions in terms of R&D and on R&D activity programs prior to their submission to the Board of Directors for approval;
to submit to the Board of Directors, every year, a proposed action program relative to the dedicated funds, along with calls for projects liable to be financed or co-financed by the Foundation;
to submit to the Board of Directors the composition of the selection committee for calls for projects;
to analyze and evaluate the Foundation’s actions concerning major R&D programs;
to perform specific analysis, evaluation or futurology missions entrusted to it by the Board of Directors.
