“Call for proposals” procedure

After publication of each call for projects and after response by project leaders, the procedure consists of the successive steps listed below :

•	Checking of eligibility of the projects,
•	Sending of each  eligible project file to two technical experts selected by the the Board of Directors,
•	Summarizing the major points of the technical evaluations of each project by a rapporteur,
•	Organization and collection of any additional scientific expert assessments, if necessary,
•	Selection by the Board of Directors of the projects that will be funded by the Foundation,
•	Setting up of the financing contracts between the project leaders and the Foundation.

Eligibility criteria

Applications for project funding must meet the following eligibility criteria :

•	Research and development within the scope of the call for projects,
•	Drawing up of a contract or a letter of intent between the prospective partners, in particular for managing intellectual property and regulatory aspects.

Selection criteria

In addition to the above eligibility criteria, the selection committee will examine projects on the basis of a set of criteria defined by the dedicated fund. These criteria will be an integral part of the call for projects.
